Meet Our Pastor

Bishop Jonathan Ramsey Jr. and Lady Laverne Ramsey are the anointed leaders of Rehoboth Church of God in Bloomfield, Connecticut — a vibrant, spirit-filled ministry committed to building faith, restoring families, and transforming communities through the power of Jesus Christ.

Bishop Ramsey is a seasoned pastor, visionary leader, and spiritual father with decades of faithful service to the Church of God. He has served as Regional Overseer for the Church of God in Southern New England and Florida Cocoa, providing leadership, mentorship, and guidance to pastors and churches across both regions. His influence extends globally through his service on several boards and committees within the International Church of God, where his wisdom and experience continue to impact leaders around the world.

He is the author of Shoulder to Shoulder: Not Many Fathers, a compelling work that challenges leaders to walk in integrity, unity, and authentic relationship.

Lady Laverne Ramsey serves faithfully alongside her husband with grace, prayer, and purpose. She is the author of Chosen and Beloved, a powerful book that empowers women to embrace their God-given identity and walk boldly in purpose. Her ministry of compassion, mentorship, and intercession continues to uplift and inspire women across generations.

Together, Bishop and Lady Ramsey are the proud parents of Ashley (Garraine), Jonathan III (Krystal), and Nathan, and the joyful grandparents of Taylor and Jonathan IV. Their lives and ministry exemplify faith, unity, and unwavering dedication to God’s call.

Their mission is clear: to lead God’s people into a deeper relationship with Him, to strengthen the church through discipleship and leadership development, and to create a space where all can experience the presence and power of God — truly living out the heart of Rehoboth: “For now the Lord has made room for us.” (Genesis 26:22)
